  15. I cannot run ghostscript 3.5.3 on my A4000/060 (68000 and 68020
  16. version), while gs 2.6.1 runs fine (but doesn't support .pdf files).
  17. Has anybody else these problems, too ?  On a friend's A3000 it runs.

  19. The symptoms are:
  20.  
  21.  - Calling with -h or -?  works, otherwise crash, no matter if I use
  22.    the 68000 or the 68020 version
  23.  - SnoopDos shows no failed disk operations. Program crashes before
  24.    any file is reported to be accessed except for environment
  25.    variables (which set up some default settings) and the screen
  26.    default font (which succeeds).
  27.  - Enforcer resp. CyberGuard shows no error
  28.  - Booting with no startup-sequence doesn't help... SetPatch and
  29.    "assign Ghostscript: foo" are done, of course
  30.  
  31. My system:  A4000, Cyberstorm 060+SCSI+12 Megs Fast RAM, Piccolo Z2/Z3
  32. with 2MB, Kickstart 3.1, CybergraphX 1.26 and other stuff.

  34. Perhaps the problem is that I don't have the complete archive...
  35. sounds like another lection about "Never use incomplete archives", but
  36. I set up the system the same way than my friend with the A3000 did.
  37. Unfortunately I currently don't have real access to the internet (i.e.
  38. no ftp/www), so I have to rely on other sources.
